USA Presents 2014 Homecoming King, Queen and Court

The ÌìÃÀÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½ presented its 2014 Homecoming Court, during half-time ceremonies at the homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 18. Queen Calvilyn Hooper was introduced along with King Tevin Barnett and the court in front of more than 15,000 fans.
Along with Hooper and Barnett, the 2014 homecoming court included:
- Hooper of Montgomery, Ala., homecoming queen, was crowned during the half-time ceremonies. She was escorted by Daniel Currie. She is a senior majoring in political science in the USA College of Arts and Sciences. Hooper is a resident advisor with the USA Department of Housing and Jag PAL. She is also a member of the Mortar Board senior honor society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, an SGA associate justice and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She is the daughter of Calvin Thrasher and Yolanda Hooper.
- Tevin Barnett of Muscle Shoals, Ala., homecoming king, was escorted by Danielle Watson. He is a senior majoring in exercise science in the USA College of Education. Barnett is a USA track and field team student athlete, member of Men of Excellence and a brother of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is the son of Kelvin and Rebecca Barnett.
- Diamond Godbolt of Ocean Springs, Miss., senior maid, was escorted by Jacob Taylor. She is a senior majoring in speech and hearing sciences in the College of Allied Health Professions. Godbolt is a recipient of the First Year Leadership Scholar Award. She is also acting president of Women of Excellence and a member of Abeneefoo Kuo honor society; African-American Student Association; National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association; Students Today Alumni Tomorrow; and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is the daughter of Terry and Loretta Godbolt.
- Victoria Jackson of Auburn, Ala., junior maid, was escorted by Trey Davis. She is a junior majoring in nursing in the College of Nursing. Jackson is a resident advisor with the USA Department of Housing, a member of Women of Excellence, Students Today Alumni Tomorrow, Abeneefoo Kuo honor society and a lady of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is the daughter of Tony and Veronica Jackson.
- Gabriela Vargas of Birmingham, Ala., sophomore maid, was escorted by Rabi Rajendra. She is a sophomore majoring in international business in the Mitchell College of Business. Vargas is a resident advisor with the USA Department of Housing, Jag PAL, SGA business senator and member of the Catholic Student Association. She is the daughter of Guillermo and Nancy Vargas.
- Abigail Olive of Muscle Shoals, Ala., freshman maid, was escorted by Derek Rowan. She is a freshman majoring in exercise science in the College of Education. Olive is a member of the Bass Fishing Club, Sustainability Council, Pre-Physical Therapy Club and sister of Alpha Omicron Pi.
- Ali Botsis of Mobile, Ala., graduate maid, was escorted by Joshua Taylor. She graduated with a bachelor of arts in exercise science from USA in 2013 and currently studies in the exercise science master’s program. Botsis is a graduate assistant and serves as a graduate representative for the Exercise Science Physiology Club.
