National First Gen Day

What is National First Gen Day?

National First-Generation Day (NFG Day) at the ÌìÃÀÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½ is a time for our campus community to come together in recognizing and honoring the resilience, achievements, and unique journeys of our first-generation students. This celebration exists not only to spotlight the dedication of these students, many of whom are the first in their families to navigate the college experience, but also to acknowledge the valuable contributions they make to our campus culture. By celebrating NFG Day, we create space for these students to connect with each other, share their experiences, and feel seen and supported.

Join us for a variety of events on November 7 and 8, designed to engage, educate, and celebrate our first-gen community. From panel discussions to networking opportunities and social gatherings, there’s something for everyone. Let’s make this NFG Day a memorable one as we continue to support our students on their journeys to success!
